MAC History Docuseries

5x 25min Documentary

In a five-part documentary series, filmmaker Dan Watts spends time with influential individuals who have worked and shaped the Midlands Art Centre (MAC), and arts and culture nationally. Digging into the archives, uncovering the moments and people that made the centre what it is today.

The films chronicle the life of the MAC from 1970 to 2010 through the lens of each contributor, who biographically reflects on their life growing up, their desire to change the centre, the culture and politics of the time in the West Midlands and Britain, and what happened in the end.
