Michael Murphy Art Installation

Dan was commissioned by Sky Sports to document the installation process of a sculpture by Michael Murphy to to celebrate the British and Irish Lions tour of South Africa.

Michael Murphy is an American artist and designer known for his Perceptual Art. His technique, with a primary emphasis on the viewer’s perception, is best described as illusions of images rendered in three-dimensional space. This art installation was commissioned by Sky Sports and Exhibited at Cardiff Castle. From one perspective it depicts a Rugby player, and the other a Lion.
